Portable hoists have 400-pound capacities

With a travel speed of up to 80 feet per minute, two new portable hoists, the Scorpio Plus and Scorpio Plus XL, have 400-pound capacities and can lift loads to heights of 80 and 160 feet, respectively. A non-rotating cable prevents loads from spinning while lifting and lowering objects. To ensure safety, an upper limit switch stops the hoist instantly when the load reaches the top. An electrical controller with an overload sensing device protects the motor. The hoists may be used with the supplier’s Scaff-Trac mounting option, attaching them to conventional walk-through frame scaffolds for a maximum lifting capacity of 1,200 pounds and a cantilever of 3.5 feet.
