260 palletizing system

The 260 palletizing system uses a four-axis ABB–IRB 260 robot and can pick and place up to 15, 45-pound cases per minute. The 10 x 10-foot palletizing cell is preassembled and features a 36-inch scissor lift. With straight-through or over/under configuration, the system works with manual forklifts or automatic guided vehicles. The system is equipped with a Rockwell MicroLogix 1500 PLC and uses ABB’s Pickmaster 5 software with a graphical interface.
