The Microsoft Windows-based mobile-user system Cadence Mobile Logistics lets warehouse workers capture data through touch screen, scanner, camera, RFID or voice technology on a single hand-held computer. The software connects the worker with the company’s main database, updating in real time. The employee chooses the most effective way to receive and input data based on work conditions, including a hands-free voice-directed picking method and a bilingual option. Both keyboard and scanner input modes are supported by the system, which enables workers to switch between methods at any time, even during the same job.
