Mobile scanner for hostile environments

The compact and lightweight Skorpio-Gun mobile computer can be equipped with a pistol grip to further reduce operator fatigue. It includes long lasting Lithium-ion batteries for full shift autonomy in hostile environments and resists multiple drops and physical abuse. The laser reader is integrated with green spot displays for direct read feedback. A long-range laser reading option allows code reads from arm’s length to several meter distances. The scanner couples Intel X-Scale series processors with a Windows CE operating system. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless communication capabilities enable fast transactions and interact with information systems.
