Trucks powered by green engines

Engine enhancements to the Platinum II series lift trucks deliver emission results well below EPA requirements, and below targets for emission levels set by California. The redesigned K21 and K25 engines feature the electronic concentrated control system for gasoline, LPG and dual fuel use. The engines also yield improved combustion and lower fuel consumption through a closedloop electronic fuel injection system, electronic ignition, automotive-type oxygen and mass air flow sensors and a three-way catalytic muffler. An engine control module monitors engine function and controls the air/fuel ratio, torque and speed. Enhanced engine/transmission protection reduces engine revolutions in response to excessive heat or low oil pressure to extend engine and drive train life.
