Stacker crane carries two pallets

Using the supplier’s software, stacker cranes can run with two independently operating forks, carrying two pallets per trip—yielding 50% additional throughput while only adding 15% to 20% in equipment cost. The crane deposits the pallets in a single- or double-deep location and can also place pallets up to 20-deep in the racking system, including large pallets weighing up to 10,000 pounds. The system can be configured to change aisles within the rail system for layout flexibility. The entire function may be fully automated, including the aisle-changing system, for use as an AS/RS.
