Paper Roll Handling Device

The SPIDER is a paper roll handling device that ensures that paper rolls are in complete roundness before the roll is positioned on a high-speed, web fed printing press, thus eliminating the need to stop the press and return the damaged roll. Microprocessing and ultra-sound technologies are used to quickly and accurately evaluate the paper roll for roundness. Test results can be viewed on a LCD display on site or directed to a standard PC for further analysis. The unit is easy to use and there is no need to position it precisely. Any misalignment will be automatically compensated for by the analysis program.
