Wheel Handling End Effectors

Positech has developed wheel handling end effectors to adapt to increases in the size and weight of wheels. When an end effector is used with the appropriate lifting device, it greatly improves an operator's ability to lift and position wheels through the manufacturing process. Some of these processes include pick/place transfers, loading vertical/horizontal chucks or rotating wheels for inspection. The lifting device and end effector have powered functions for the lift and grip forces, which help minimize the risk of injury to the upper body, arms and hands. Operators of different size and strength can handle the work. There is no need to rotate operators to prevent fatigue.
