Lift trucks reduce emissions

P.O. Box 17419, Irvine, CA 92623
The 8-Series of internal combustion engine lift trucks produces 70% less smog-forming emissions than allowed by the 2007 EPA emissions standards. In addition, all gasoline, LPG and CNG models also meet California’s 2010 emissions standard for lift trucks. Initial introduction in the new line includes 3,000 to 6,500-pound cushion and pneumatic models. All include the supplier’s System of Active Stability that reduces the risk of tipover. The fully redesigned chassis has significantly less cosmetic sheet metal and plastic, reducing the opportunity for damage to the trucks. Stamped steel panels and a durable engine hood are standard. The electrical system features weatherproof connectors. An improved cooling system reduces the risk of engine overheating. The Intelli-Shift option ensures that directional shift changes can be made only at programmed speeds. An optional wet brake system has an extended life and reduces heat buildup, dust intrusion and noise.Operators now have more space and overall leg room. A smaller steering wheel reduces strain on the operator’s shoulder.
