As part of a cover feature called, “The United States of Design: 30 Companies That Get It,” Fast Company recognized Crown by stating that the company is “proving forklifts can be as well designed as iPods.”
After alarming declines from August to September, data from Panjiva, an online search engine with detailed information on global suppliers and manufacturers, indicated that global trade activity showed a bit of a “leveling off” from September to October.

Crown Equipment released today results of its proprietary Forklift User Survey. The survey, which was conducted in late summer, represents feedback from approximately 600 forklift users involved in the purchase of lifts trucks in the material handling industry on issues ranging from fleet size to technology use.
As part of its ongoing effort to build stronger working relationships with other key industry associations, the Reusable Packaging Association will host a Reusables Conference at the new MODEX show in Atlanta, GA, February 6 – 8, 2012.

The Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) and the Automation Technologies Council (ATC) announce that the Automate Show and Conference will once again co-locate with ProMat in 2013. Both exhibitions will be held January 21-24, 2013 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

PECO Pallet, a national leader in pallet pooling services, has joined the Reusable Packaging Association.
Like its companion report focused on manufacturing, growth remained the primary theme for the Institute for Supply Management's Non-Manufacturing Report on Business, which showed growth in non-manufacturing sector grew for the 23rd consecutive month.
Although the numbers are showing continued signs of leveling out, the main theme of the October edition of the Institute for Supply Management’s Manufacturing (ISM) Report on Business indicated that growth is still occurring.
