At the annual State of the Industry press conference, MHI predicts slow but steady growth in 2013 and 2014. MHI also announces co-location of supply chain event at Modex.

Wednesday, students of engineering, technology, manufacturing, operations, supply chain and logistics will experience first-hand the latest technologies and solutions as they tour the show floor with their professors as part of the Material Handling & Logistics Classroom Day.

The equipment, systems and software solutions of material handling and logistics very often hold the key to a productive and profitable supply chain. These solutions include a broad array of equipment and systems that cut costs and improve organizational safety, productivity, quality and visibility.

New network is designed to attract professionals under 40 to the industry.

More than 50 educators and administrators from technical high schools, colleges and community colleges around the country will attend Wednesday’s day-long Technical Career Education Conference.

On the show floor, ProMat is featuring 800 exhibits and a broad scope of educational content, including three keynotes, 100 show floor seminars and five educational tracks. As always, the focus is on new and existing solutions that save space, increase throughput, improve accuracy and impact productivity. The bottom line is savings.

MHI wants to make it as easy as possible to find the products and solutions that interest you and address your operational and supply chain challenges.

Recognizing that professionals in the materials handling industry—both suppliers and end users—play a crucial role in supporting the overall supply chain, the leadership of the Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) saw an opportunity to evolve the association’s focus. Hence, at ProMat 2013, the group is debuting a new brand, name, logo and mission: MHI—The Industry That Makes the Supply Chain Work.

ProMat 2013 will be four days of non-stop solutions for your manufacturing, distribution and logistics operations.

The show this year will top the ProMat 2011 show both in terms of exhibit square footage and attendance, setting a record for each.
