240,000 square feet of show floor reserved at record ProMat 2015 Space Draw

The ProMat 2015 exhibit space draw, held December 10 in Chicago, attracted 400 exhibitors who reserved a first-day record of 240,000 net square feet of show floor space at the Industry’s premier U.S. event.

This record amount of space reserved represents 76% of the ProMat show floor. Hyster and Yale selected the first booths of the draw.

“The record success of the ProMat 2015 exhibit space draw is a clear indicator that MHI members have a positive economic outlook for 2014 and beyond. This bodes very well for both ProMat 2015 and the material handling, logistics and supply chain industry as a whole,” said George W. Prest, chief executive officer of MHI.

ProMat 2015, sponsored by MHI, will be the largest international material handling, logistics and supply chain show and conference held in the U.S. in 2015. ProMat 2015 will showcase the solutions of 800 exhibitors who will fill the ProMat’s 300,000 square foot show floor.

ProMat 2015’s exhibits will represent all segments of the material handling and logistics industry, from traditional, manual equipment to computerized, automated systems and information technologies. Manufacturers, consultants, third party logistics providers, publishers and systems integrators will be there to demonstrate their equipment, systems, software and services to manufacturing, distribution, supply chain and logistics professionals from around the world. These professionals come to ProMat year after year seeking solutions that make their supply chains work more productively and profitably.

ProMat attracts over 30,000 visitors from over 100 countries, and will once again feature an International Visitors Center. The Center provides matchmaker services for interested buyers and sellers. International trade specialists will be on hand to provide expert counseling. ProMat has applied for selection by the United States Department of Commerce as an official International Buyer Program event. In addition to the exhibition, ProMat 2015 will also offer a comprehensive Educational Conference featuring Keynotes and an educational conference. Industry experts will lead a broad range of show floor educational sessions covering all aspects of manufacturing, distribution and supply chain operations.
