3PL Central acquires cloud-based inventory control software supplier Traker Systems

Acquisition to enhance capabilities in transportation, cold storage and light manufacturing.

3PL Central, a leader in cloud-based third party logistics (3PL) and warehouse management software (WMS) solutions, has acquired Traker Systems (iTracker), a leading provider of cloud-based inventory control software.

Both companies serve 3PL and private warehouse customers. The combined companies deliver a suite of warehouse management, inventory control and logistics software solutions to more than 1,300 customers globally.

“We are thrilled to welcome iTracker’s customers and employees to the 3PL Central family,” said John Watkins, CEO of 3PL Central. “Rich and I both ran 3PL warehouse businesses and have a shared vision for delivering world-class software from the cloud that addresses the complexities of the 3PL warehousing environment we faced as business owners. The addition of iTracker’s team augments 3PL Central’s expertise in transportation, cold storage and light manufacturing. We see B2C continuing to outpace B2B, driving the need for solutions that focus on eCommerce, as well as pick, pack and ship.”

Rich Moline, president of iTracker, added, “The combination is very exciting. It creates a compelling value proposition for all prospective WMS customers looking for a trusted SaaS provider. The strength and experience of the combined teams will accelerate our shared vision for growth and help our customers access best-in-class software and technology from the cloud.”

John Watkins will continue in his role as CEO of the newly combined company, and Rich Moline will become executive vice president, enterprise and strategic accounts at 3PL Central. 3PL Central is a portfolio company of Mainsail Partners, which invested $17.5 million in November 2015.
