Barrier system protects people, equipment and product

Bottling facility meets and exceeds safety and hygiene standards with barriers, gates and bollards.

At a new facility 40 miles south of Milwaukee, Niagara Bottling was looking to protect new equipment and create pedestrian walkways. The company installed an assortment of barriers, gates and bollards to ensure the site complied with OSHA standards for overall health and safety.

The company selected five products (A-Safe, asafe.com) to meet a variety of needs within the facility. These included three-rail pedestrian barriers, traffic barriers, lift gates, swing gates and bollards.

Niagara Bottling requested customized black barriers in the first-ever installation of the barrier system in the United States, which took place over one week. Traffic barriers offer robust protection for key electrical paneling, while bollards mark and guard doorways.

The procurement manager at Niagara says, “The key factors that drove Niagara to change its standard approach to protective barriers on recent projects were the barriers’ modular approach, damage-preventing design and overall commercial competitiveness.”
