Berner air doors aim for dock segment
March 23, 2011 - MMH Editorial
Following upgrades to its air flow systems, Berner is looking to enter the materials handling industry’s dock and door segment with a line of 80% efficient air doors.
The new air doors are offered in sizes from small conveyor openings to 30-foot-high trainways, according to Michael Farber, sales manager for Berner, at a booth visit on Wednesday. Farber told Modern that Berner fans feature heavy duty aluminized steel, top and bottom access panels for ease of maintenance, and industry-leading volume, velocity and uniformity.
“Without uniformity, you open the door to fumes, dust, insects and outside air to come in,” said Farber. “Then you might as well have no air door.”
ProMat 2011 will be held March 21 - 24, 2011 at McCormick Place South in Chicago. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry.
