Colson Caster announces ‘Made in USA’ initiative

Company website offers literature about the competitive advantage of domestic manufacturing.

Colson Caster, a leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, has announced the first wave of a new marketing campaign emphasizing products that are made in the USA.

Colson has manufactured many of its most popular caster products in the USA for more than 125 years. The campaign is a new initiative to display the company’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing.

“Colson’s most popular products, 4 Series caster forks, Trans-forma wheels, Performa wheels and more are manufactured in Colson’s AR facilities”, said Kevin Osborn, operations manager at Colson. “Colson remains committed to keeping as much manufacturing local as possible, which helps us guard quality and provide flexible and rapid reaction to all levels of order volume for our most popular products. We are proud of our U.S. manufacturing capabilities and welcome future opportunities to expand manufacturing as the global market continues to change. The Made in the USA initiative will help us spread the word about the products manufactured in the USA and the benefits of doing so.”

As part of the Made in the USA initiative, Colson created a special website landing page providing direct access to literature and specifications on Colson USA made products. Literature and email marketing will also outline the advantages of products made in the USA.

Colson brands manufacture a variety of industrial caster products in two Northeast Arkansas facilities. The Jonesboro, Ark., location manufactures industrial casters (withstanding up to 6,000 lbs each) from coiled steel, stamping, robotic welding, plating, assembly, quality assurance and extensive testing. The Colson wheel plant in Monette, Ark., specializes in injection molding of various proprietary and standard plastic and rubber materials, which require in-house CNC machining, assembly, quality control and testing to meet customer demands.
