The 2011 Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals event will take place in Philadelphia in October, but the last day to register at pre-pay rates ends with 2010.

The 2011 Annual Global Conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) will take place October 2 – 5 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The last day to register at pre-pay rates ends on Friday, December 31.

The event will offer supply chain professionals an opportunity to…
*Build personal and professional resource information with industry professionals, vendors and suppliers from 33 countries.
*Learn about global sourcing, supply chain metrics, sustainability, new trends and technology with hundreds of sessions.
*Refresh your talents and knowledge with access to educational content that covers more of the supply chain than any other event.
*Get a year’s worth of educational information in just three days.
*Make the most of your budgeted training funds and revive your career path.

One of the highlights of the 2010 CSCMP event was the Supply Chain of the Future Lab. Materials handling equipment providers CHEP, Frazier, Raymond and Vocollect joined forces and their latest technology to create a high-tech warehouse simulation that demonstrated optimized dynamics inside the four walls.

“These companies are the leaders in their industries, and many have worked together for years,” Joe Ginnetti, director of business development for The Raymond Corporation told Modern. “Bringing them together was a natural intuitive decision. Each company’s solution will mesh with the others intuitively so a warehouse or distribution center will optimize its efficiency and productivity.”  Read more…
