The new Falcon X3, designed to replace the Falcon 4400, was created with an emphasis on real-time data capture, ruggedness and ease of use, according to David Paufler, senior product manager for Datalogic Mobile (Booth 4108).
Development of the Falcon X3 incorporated feedback from 50 interviewed customers, which included Honda, Siemens and Coca-Cola, and input from more than 3,000 surveyed customers.
The result is a device that features an onboard 3 megapixel camera for visual confirmations, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatibility, onboard software, and a 5000 mAh single-piece battery that lasts even longer with the unit’s newer, more efficient parallel processors.
“It’s an evolutionary step,” said Paufler, who said rollouts have taken as little as five days.
