Wynright Corporation, a leading independent, U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, today announced the appointment of supply chain veteran Gordon Hellberg to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, Sales. Hellberg is charged with applying his more than 30 years’ experience in developing and guiding top-flight sales organizations within the materials handling industry to helping Wynright grow its market presence through its direct and indirect sales channels.
“Adding Gordon Hellberg to the Wynright management team is exciting,” said Kevin Ambrose, CEO of Wynright Corporation. “He is known and respected throughout the industry not only as an effective driver of revenue, but as someone who is experienced in building an enduring sales organization. By adding his expertise to our roster, particularly his ability to guide a company’s approach to the market and fuel its growth, we feel Wynright is now in the strongest position the company has been through our 40-year history.”
Hellberg brings a lengthy resume to his new position. Prior to joining Wynright he was the Vice President of Sales at SSI Schaefer.
His career began as a Systems Engineer, where he gained a strong foundation in project engineering and design, and eventually became a Vice President responsible for direct and distribution sales at Ermanco, Inc. He was part of the transition of Ermanco from Paragon Technologies to becoming a part of TGW Systems.
“At its heart, Wynright is an engineering company,” said Ambrose. “That’s what makes Gordon perfect for this position. He has extensive experience on the engineering and project management side, so he understands those challenges, but is also a proven and consummate sales professional with a driving focus on customer service. We are pleased to add his unique expertise to our own.”
Hellberg holds a Bachelors of Science in engineering from Western Michigan University, and served in the past on the Board of Directors for MHEDA (the Materials Handling Equipment Distributors Association).
