Hyster introduces new line of durable trucks

Hyster Company (Booth 1503) showcased its new line of durable lift trucks.

Hyster Company (Booth 1503) showcased its new line of durable lift trucks, which Brett Schemerhorn, VP of sales, said are among the most operator-friendly AC lift trucks on the market.

The trucks feature newly designed operator compartments, 16% more floor space, relocated multifunction displays to enhance visibility and control, improved brake pedal layout, and an auto deceleration system to reduce operator fatigue.

In addition, said Schemerhorn, Hyster’s line of ruggedized trucks now boasts an average of 12% to 14% less energy consumption than competitors. The efficiencies are gained by Hyster’s unique electric motor technology, he said.

The company has also made significant upgrades to its assembly line, including the addition of automation and smart tools. The changes have improved quality in Hyster’s full-range line of 140 lift products.

ProMat 2011 will be held March 21 - 24, 2011 at McCormick Place South in Chicago. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry.
