Crown Equipment Corporation, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, today announced the opening of a new company-owned branch in Fresno, Calif. The 22,000-square-foot facility increases Crown’s regional customer service capabilities as well as its offerings for forklift technicians and operators.

“Many of our customers are part of California’s prominent agricultural industry,” said Jim Ellis, senior vice president, Crown Equipment. “They need forklifts that deliver reliable power and performance in demanding environments. Increasing our service offerings in this region, such as including on-site service for forklift batteries and chargers, allows us to work closely with customers to reduce costly downtime from maintenance-related incidents.”

In addition to expanded service options, the facility offers educational courses for forklift operators and trainers through Crown’s Demonstrated Performance® Service Training program. This approach allows participants to develop their skills by following customized lessons and receiving personalized feedback from instructors.

“Many of our employees for the new facility came to us from other Crown facilities across the country,” said Keith Heinke, general manager – California branches, Crown Equipment. “We’re looking forward to using the new facility to serve our customers with the level of expertise that they’ve come to expect from Crown.”

The branch is located at 1355 East Fortune Avenue in Fresno and can be reached directly at 559- 585-8000.
