Modern celebrates Manufacturing Day

Modern joins the manufacturing industry today to take a day to reflect on the past, tackle challenges of the present, and strategize for the future.


Manufacturing Day is an annual national event, executed at the local level, that supports hundreds of manufacturers across the nation to host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers. A panel of co-producers includes the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, the National Association of Manufacturers, the Manufacturing Institute, the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and the Science Channel.

To commemorate national Manufacturing Day, Modern has compiled our recent coverage manufacturing as well as some success stories:

ISM manufacturing data posts another strong month in September
September marked the third consecutive month of solid manufacturing activity, according to the most recent edition of the Manufacturing Report on Business from the Institute of Supply Management (ISM).
