Modex 2012: Kardex Remstar offers automated storage choices

To round out its line of automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), Kardex Remstar (Booth 2914) is showcasing the Element vertical lift module and the Megamat RS vertical carousel.

Offered for those just stepping into automated storage, the Element VLM increases storage density at an affordable cost. The unit features vertically arranged storage trays that are delivered by extractor platform to the operator at an ergonomic access opening. “The Element VLM is a great product for companies looking to start dynamic storage without making a major capital investment,” said Dube.

The Megamat RS vertical carousel combines reliability and security with an improved structure, interchangeable carriers and multiple control options. In addition to using less energy, the system saves time, space and money. “When compared to manual storage systems, the Megamat RS increases productivity by 2/3 and reduces floor space requirements by 75%,” Dube added.
