Kiva Systems (Booth 2500) announced it has implemented and met the standards for ISO 9001 certification, encompassing the areas of solution design, testing, manufacturing, consulting, services delivery and technology support of software, firmware and hardware.

“Our ISO 9001 certification ensures that we meet the highest standards in product quality and client experience, which is particularly important to the highly regulated medical device space,” said Amy Villeneuve, Kiva’s president and COO.

Additionally, in 2011, the company added a record number of customers, including Toys ’R Us, Timberland, Dansko, Dillard’s, Follett and Estee Lauder, while more than doubling annual revenue for a second consecutive year, said Villeneuve.

The company also unveiled a rental program—a first for materials handling automation—that allows customers to bring in additional robotic drive units during peak seasons, and then scale back quickly and easily without any disruption to on-going operations.

Modex 2012 is scheduled to be held February 6-9, 2012 in Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete Modex 2012 coverage.
