Pack Expo East shifts dates to accommodate exhibitor demand

Less than a year away, show's inaugural edition already 40% bigger than original projections.

PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, has announced Pack Expo East 2015 will take place Feb. 16–18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The new dates allow PMMI to better meet exhibitor demand, which has already exceeded expectations.

“We expected Pack Expo East to generate a lot of excitement from exhibitors, but the demand has gone beyond what we hoped for,” said Jim Pittas, vice president of trade shows, PMMI. “With the show just under a year away, it’s already 40% bigger than our original projections. The new dates give us the flexibility to open up more space for exhibitors. Ultimately, the attendees will benefit from having greater access to the technologies they need.”

Pack Expo East has 250 exhibitors signed up to display the latest packaging and processing innovations over 70,000 square feet of exhibit space. PMMI estimates Pack Expo East will debut with more than 400 companies exhibiting over 100,000 net square feet next year.

PMMI announced Pack Expo East last year and space sales for the inaugural edition began in January 2014. The decision to create an East Coast show stemmed largely from data generated by a “Voice of the Attendee” survey of Pack Expo visitors, conducted for PMMI.
