In 2003, representatives from The Container Store came to ProMat to scout for solutions. Planning to collect as many as a dozen potential vendors for the development of a new 1.1-million-square-foot facility, The Container Store instead partnered with Malin Integrated Handling Solutions, a Raymond Sales and Service Center.

At a press conference on Monday, representatives from the three companies emphasized Raymond’s CustomCare services (Booth 3219), which allowed Malin to provide the majority of the services needed to make the new DC a reality and a success.

“They astounded us from the start,” said Mike Coronado, director of distribution for The Container Store. “They looked at much more than just lift trucks and they have become a true and valued partner.”

The partnership produced solutions for racking, battery handling, equipment installation and more, allowing The Container Store to improve process time by 30%.

ProMat 2011 will be held March 21 - 24, 2011 at McCormick Place South in Chicago. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the material handling and logistics industry.
