The Utz Group joins Reusable Packaging Association

Company joins the 90% of U.S. reusable packaging manufacturers represented by RPA.


The Utz Group, an international company that specializes in the production of reusable plastic products for storage and transport, has joined the Reusable Packaging Association.

The company is one of the leading manufacturers of multiple-use containers, pallets, and component holders as well as custom solutions. The Utz Group offers: in-house consulting, innovative development, state of the art prototyping and production processes. The U.S. facility, Georg Utz, Inc. is located in Edinburgh, IN.

“RPA is the leading organization in promoting the use of returnable solutions. We feel that by working with RPA and its fellow members it is possible to grow the industry. We can accomplish this through bringing awareness to end users via education and with the promotion of innovative solutions,” said Mike Chiado, general manager, Georg Utz, Inc.

“We are pleased to have The Utz Group join the RPA. They are a welcome addition to the Association which continues to have steady growth and strong member retention,” said Jerry Welcome, president, RPA. “Today, the RPA represents 90% of U.S. reusable packaging manufacturers, and nearly 70% of reusable packaging related logistics companies, in addition to members from outside the U.S. Our growth demonstrates the growing demand for reusables, and the need to have a collective voice for the industry.”
