Two new pallet protection products from United Pallet Services

At Modex on Monday, United Pallet Services (Booth 4334), maker of pointGUARD, unveiled the latest addition to its line of plastic protectors for wood pallets. Designed to fit the standard 48 x 40-inch U.S. shipping pallet, the Product Defender (SP40S) is lighter and roughly one-third the cost of its predecessor, the LX40S.

Callen Cochran, business development manager, said the company is already getting positive feedback on its new product. “The new shipping version is lighter, thinner and less expensive ($5.65 for a set of two) than our original protector,” said Cochran, “and has the primary purpose of protecting products by keeping the top lead board defended from strapping or forklift damage.”

The company also unveiled international pointGUARD, which was designed by the firm’s European license holders and engineered to fit an 800 x 1200-mm pallet.
