On Monday, Advanced Charging Technologies (ACT; Booth 2393) offered a demonstration of its browser-based software platform, ACTview—the industry’s first-ever cloud application for the remote management of forklift truck battery and charging equipment.
Usable on nearly any type of device, the ACTview allows end users to manage their battery and charger fleets remotely, a concept that ACT said will transform the industrial charger and battery industry. Aside from its remote usage, the cloud application also allows users to analyze their operational data and upload information from products like the company’s Quantum battery charger, which was launched in March 2016.
Featuring built-in redundancy, modular technology, plug-n-play operation and scalability through field expansion, nearly 3,000 Quantum chargers have been shipped in that time.
“Our engineering team, led by Nasser Kutkut, has designed and developed one of the most advanced industrial battery monitoring devices in the industry today,” said Bob Istwan, ACT CEO.
In addition to the ACTview and the Quantum chargers, ACT also discussed the new capabilities of its BATTview battery monitors, as data integration functionality has been added between the BATTview units and the Quantum chargers. As a result, customers’ charger and battery performance issues can now be diagnosed more precisely.
