Handheld from Zebra reads marks up to 70 feet away

Zebra Technologies (Booth S441) announced the release of its latest MC9000 series enterprise-class mobile computer: the ultra-rugged, Android-based MC9300.

Zebra Technologies (Booth S441) announced the release of its latest MC9000 series enterprise-class mobile computer: the ultra-rugged, Android-based MC9300. The new device helps businesses keep up with growing e-commerce demands.

“It’s our most powerful handheld platform on our best-selling device,” said Joe White VP and GM of enterprise mobile computing. “With more than 3.2 million MC9000 mobile computers sold since 2003, we’ve made it even better by providing an easy migration path from Windows to Android along with 20 new features and improved ergonomics.”

White said the MC9300 improves fulfillment speed and accuracy—and boosts productivity by as much as 10% over other devices—because it reads direct part marks and captures bar codes in virtually any condition from distances of 3 inches to 70 feet. “It’s ideal for inventory management, receiving/putaway, crossdocking and quality control applications,” he added.

ProMat 2019 is scheduled to be held April 8-11 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The tradeshow will showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution and supply chain solutions in the materials handling and logistics industry. Modern’s complete coverage of the show.
