Modex 2022 welcomes international visitors

110 (13%) internationally registered companies are registered to exhibit from 23 countries.

Supply chains know no geographical boundaries, and this year’s Modex event will welcome visitors and exhibitors from around the world to Atlanta. This year’s show will be exponentially larger than any previous event, but MHI’s EVP of exhibitions and events says the organization is “feeling some pandemic impact” on the number of international exhibitors and attendees that will be present at the event this year.

“We currently have 110 (13%) internationally registered companies exhibiting from 23 countries,” said McKinnon. “This doesn’t include the dozens of multinational companies with offices in the United States.”

McKinnon says MHI is anticipating lower numbers than usual due to the ongoing pandemic impacts. “We will still see committed buyers and influencers from Mexico, Canada, South American and western Europe,” he added. “We will miss some of our Asian and Australian friends.”

All foreign visitors will find a variety of complimentary amenities in the MHI-sponsored International Visitors Center, just steps from the show entrance. The center offers translators to help answer questions in several languages—French, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish—plus private meeting rooms, Wi-Fi Internet access, cell phone charging stations, a lounge area and refreshments.

Additionally, Modex’s International Visitors Center helps foreign attendees connect with others from their country with a touchscreen monitor search. The service allows international attendees to identify others based on their home country, and send a private, one-way message to suggest a meeting.
