On Wednesday, Rocla AGV Solutions (Booth B6019) presented its Reach Truck AGV during a press conference.

Able to operate in aisles as narrow as 10 feet, while handling 40 x 48-inch pallets from the short side, the Reach Truck automatic guided vehicle (AGV) has a base capacity of 3,500 pounds. In addition, it can lift loads at a height of up to 32 feet.

During the press conference, Brian Markison, senior director, AGV sales at Rocla, demonstrated some of the AGV’s other characteristics, particularly its ability to move pallets from the floor to a rack, and then back to the floor again. The AGV stacked and unstacked the pallets on the floor of Rocla’s booth, just as users would in a lane building.

All of the vehicle’s stacking and unstacking capabilities are controlled by FleetController software, which features a dashboard that enables users to monitor their fleets in real time while also managing their order queue. In doing so, users can complete their tasks at the exact times they’re required.

“As labor shortages remain an issue, the Reach Truck AGV is providing DCs and warehouses a solution for high employee productivity long term, regardless of headcount,” Markison said.
