At a press conference Monday, Vanderlande (Booth 2041) highlighted a new solution to enable remote video and audio technician support.
Using a wearable camera resistant to shock, dust and water, EYE4U establishes a secure link over any wireless network from an on-site technician to a help desk, where experts can guide diagnostics and repairs. The system can eliminate the need to dispatch a technician to a facility for as many as 90% of support calls.
“This solution complements our automated remote monitoring service that provides real-time information on the overall health of a system and its components,” said Philip Mello, business development manager, services, for Vanderlande Industries. “EYE4U can help address any issues quickly by empowering both on-site Vanderlande technicians and facility staff with immediate support.”
EYE4U can help bridge any language barriers, Mello said, and can archive video and photos for future technician training.
