Material Handling Industry of America elects 2012 Industry Roundtable Leaders

The Roundtable includes the Material Handling Industry Board of Governors and the MHIA Directors At Large.


Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA) announces the recent election of its 2012 MHIA Roundtable of Industry Leaders. The roundtable includes the Material Handling Industry Board of Governors and the MHIA Directors At Large. The Board of Governors consists of the officers of Material Handling Industry plus the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel of the corporation. The Board of Governors serves as the Board of Directors for Material Handling Industry.

2012 Material Handling Industry Board of Governors

E. Larry Strayhorn, President, TGW Systems, was elected to the position of Executive Chairman. Dave Young, President EGA Products, Inc. was elected to the dual position of Executive Vice Chairman and Chairman—Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA). John Paxton, President-Demag Cranes and Components Corporation was elected to the position of Vice Chair of MHIA. Colin Wilson, Chief Operating Officer and President - Americas, NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc., will serve as Last Retiring Executive Chairman.

David Lippert, President, Hamilton Caster

Brian McNamara, President, Southworth Products

George Prest, CEO, Material Handling Industry

Clark Skeen, President, Quantronix

Arthur Stroyd, Esq., Partner of Del Sole Cavanaugh Stroyd LLC will serve as Material Handling Industry General Counsel.The primary mission of the Board of Governors is the overall governance of Material Handling Industry. The more visible external programming of the Industry takes place through Material Handling Industry of America (MHIA). This mission is accomplished through regularly scheduled activities of the Board, budget and finance, planning and standing committees.

MHIA is an international trade association that has represented the material handling & logistics industry since 1945. MHIA members include material handling and logistics equipment and systems manufacturers, integrators, consultants, publishers, and third party logistics providers. Member companies come from all areas of material handling and various parts of the world, making MHIA a strong national and international representative for the material handling industry. Much of the work of the industry is done within its product-specific sections, councils and affiliates. The association also sponsors trade events, such as ProMat and MODEX to showcase the products and services of its member companies and to educate industry professionals on the productivity solutions provided through material handling and logistics.
