What Does an Optimus Sortation System Do?
A sortation system merges, identifies, inducts, separates and sorts products to specific destinations. The destinations may be specific stores, specific regions, specific zip codes, or product packaging stations. Each of the destinations in a system are routed to specific chutes where product is accumulated for consolidating, packing, and shipping.

What are the Benefits to an Optimus Sortation System?
Optimus Sortation systems provide more efficient retail, wholesale, e-commerce, parcel handling, and manufacturing distribution. They also provide a labor saving system that allows material and/or product to move and be sorted rapidly through a process, allowing companies to ship or receive higher volumes with smaller storage space and with less labor expense. Additionally, the controls and software system provides management with operational information on activity and performance.

What Should a Company Consider when Choosing a Sortation System?
The Sortation System should be able to handle all or most of a company’s products. The Sortation System should be designed for minimal maintenance. The Sortation System should also be designed for minimal use of energy. And the Sortation System Software should interface to the companies ERP or WMS system to accurately and efficiently communicate commands for sortation and status activity for management review and reporting. All of these issues are provided by an Optimus Sortation System.
