HighJump highlights in-store fulfillment capabilities

HighJump Software (Booth 4310) has been building in-store fulfillment capabilities for its warehouse management systems (WMS) for the past six years, according to Russell Fleischer, CEO.

“Not only are these solutions available, they are inevitable,” Fleischer said. “If a business is going to be competitive it needs to be close to its customers. Brick and mortar operations should have a significant advantage in a local marketplace, but they will need the right software to make that happen.”

The functionality of HighJump’s in-store solutions is not so much based on direct store delivery (DSD) software, Fleischer said, but rather on moving warehouse solutions into the retail environment to drive execution in that space.

Whether a functionally identical cloud or on-premise offering, the ideal software is predicated on business processes, Fleischer continued. “Because there are no clear best practices in the in-store fulfillment arena, if a company wants to change the way it goes to market it will need a partner who can supply flexible solutions to change and grow with them.”
