Intelligrated, a leading North American-based automated material handling solutions provider, is hosting the International Material Handling Research Colloquium, June 24-26, at its recently-expanded corporate headquarters in Mason, Ohio.
Sponsored by the College Industry Council on Material Handling Education, a subgroup of MHI, the nation’s largest material handling, logistics and supply chain association, the biennial event brings together approximately 40 to 50 academics from leading universities around the world to discuss the latest in logistics and material handling trends, research and the future of the industry.
As corporate host, Intelligrated is providing meeting space and live exhibitions of the latest conveyor, sortation and order fulfillment technologies at its on-site demonstration area. Intelligrated is also offering tours of its automated material handling installations at distribution centers in Ohio.
“Intelligrated fosters a culture of innovation to develop the latest technologies and position customers for continued success,” said Chris Cole, CEO, Intelligrated. “We’re pleased to welcome such an accomplished group to review the latest research and forecast the future of our industry.”
In addition to facility tours and demonstrations, attendees participate in keynote presentations, poster sessions, breakout discussions and social events. MHI conducts the colloquium to promote dialogue and collaborative research on topics of interest to both end users and solutions providers in the fields of material handling, facility logistics and supply chain management. This year’s colloquium focuses on planning, design, selection and operation of manufacturing, distribution and logistics facilities, and supply chain systems.
