Supply chain, automation, and business solutions consulting company enVista announced today that CEO John Stitz will retire and that its longtime CEO, Jim Barnes, is returning to lead enVista’s next chapter of innovation and growth.

Barnes co-founded the company in 2002 and served as enVista’s CEO for 20 years until the acquisition of enVista’s software offerings in September of 2022, at which time enVista co-founder John Stitz assumed the role of CEO. Stitz has announced his plans to retire after 22 years with enVista.

Stitz said, “It has been an incredible honor and privilege to positively impact enVista’s global associates, clients and communities all of these years. When I co-founded the company with Jim in 2002, I never dreamt we’d achieve this level of growth trajectory and industry strength. I want to express my deepest gratitude to our incredible associates, clients and partners. It has been an amazing ride, and it is bittersweet to retire from the company and industry I love. I hope to see many of you at MODEX this week.”

Stitz continued, “I look forward to spending more time with my wonderful family, and I am confident I leave enVista in capable hands with Jim.”

Barnes said, “This is an exciting time to return to enVista and to help our clients solve their global supply chain, technology and enterprise business challenges to maximize competitive advantage. I look forward to meeting with our clients and partners at enVista’s MODEX booth #C7279 in Georgia this week and to connecting with our exceptional associates who make up the best part of enVista.”

Barnes continued, “I also want to share my thanks and deep gratitude to my partner and co-founder of 22 years, John Stitz. We have made many incredible memories and delivered untold successes together. I wish John and his family the very best as he begins his next chapter.”

The enVista booth at Modex is C7279.
