Michigan State University announces online certificate programs in Supply Chain Management

No. 1-ranked university for supply chain management now offers credentials in five certificate options–100% online.

In today’s global economy, a business’s overall success and bottom line profitability come down to the efficiency of its supply chain. Michigan State University (MSU)–ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in Supply Chain Management undergraduate and graduate education by U.S. News–has led the nation and the world in supply chain education for more than 50 years. Their world-class reputation for providing supply chain solutions has been extended to individuals across the globe through 100% online master and advanced master certificates.

All courses are taught through the Broad College of Business, one of the world’s top educators of supply chain management professionals, and named among the top 20 U.S. business schools by both Forbes and Bloomberg Businessweek. The Broad College has contributed to corporate success through the IBM On-Demand Supply Chain Center, helping IBM and other companies build dynamic supply chains that can sense and rapidly respond to changing customer demands and market conditions. They have also provided high-impact business solutions to many of the Fortune 500 global companies.

At the heart of the MSU curriculum is a unique integrated model that coordinates all facets of the supply chain-both within a company and across its supply chain partners–with the ultimate goal of satisfying and providing successful end solutions for the customer. Students will receive instruction through state-of-the-art online technology powered by University Alliance. This online classroom features streaming video lectures with convenient 24/7 access, as well as a variety of interactive tools that connect instructors and participants, including discussion boards, live chat rooms and email.

“Students will greatly benefit from our integrated view of supply chain procurement, operations and logistics management,” explains Dr. David Frayer, executive development programs director at the Broad College of Business. “MSU’s integrated approach will help them to implement the best supply chain design for their organization, sustaining its operations long-term.”

MSU’s Supply Chain Management certificate programs give students the choice of Master Certificates in Logistics, Operations, Procurement or Integrated Supply Chain Management, plus an Advanced Master Certificate in Integrated Supply Chain Management. These options allow students to customize their experience and curriculum to best suit their job duties and career aspirations.
