In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, employees at NACCO Materials Handling Group‘s Berea, Ky. facility this month participated by wearing pink, the official color of breast cancer awareness.
More than 450 employees wore pink, and they were joined by a specially painted Yale Veracitor GP080VX lift truck that has been parked in front of the facility all month.
The facility’s efforts were part of the 4th annual Paint the Town PINK event, sponsored by Baptist Health Richmond Hospital in Madison county. According to the event website, more than 50 businesses participated in the week-long event, which raised more than $8,000 for the Madison County Breast Support Group and the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation.
