Not to brag but, we’ve got some readers
Anyone who knows me well knows that I do not lack in self-confidence. Full disclosure, over-confidence is a Trebilcock family trait. Truth be told, if you called me and my brothers obnoxious know-it-alls, you’d get no arguments from our wives. At the same time, well, we’re not ones to brag. Growing up, one of my mom’s continual refrains was: Don’t blow your own horn. Bragging isn’t my style.
But, it’s early in the new year, it’s a slow news week, so what the heck: Let’s blow our own horn. This evening, we received an e-mail from Dr. Logistics, PhD , letting us know that Modern’s blog (that’s me) was number 43 on their list of the top 50 supply chain and logistics blogs. Given that the website is for folks who are getting advanced degrees in logistics and supply chain management and I have trouble spelling logistics, I’m surprised that someone besides my Mom is reading my stuff.
Better yet, the blogs on my sister publications ranked much higher than mine, with Supply Chain Management Review clocking in at a much-deserved #2 and Logistics Management coming in at #15. Let’s hope that in the coming year we all continue doing good work that honors the industry we work in and informs our readers.
And Ma, if you’re reading, sorry for blowing my own horn.
