Offered as a solution for vertical sorting, Qimarox / NEDPACK Vertical Conveyors (Booth 1050) featured the Prorunner mk5—a compact, flexible product elevator that was originally created to transport a container or box from one level to another within a facility.

“Now, the system can be used to sort from multiple infeeds to multiple destinations in three directions,” explained Jaco Hooijer, sales and operations manager. “This eliminates the need for rising conveyor belts, bends or outfeed belts.”

The system’s intelligent controller ensures that each product is transported to the correct destination by aligning the rollers or string belts of the outfeed carrier between the forks of the product’s carrier, he added.

Modularly constructed, the machine’s capacity can be increased by adding more carriers. The standard version handles containers and box footprints of 23.5 x 15.75 inches and up to 220 pounds; an XL model manages load footprints up to 35 x 35 inches.
