Offered to customers of Vanderlande Industries (Booth 6734), the company introduced the new EYE4U video-based help desk support option in a press conference on Tuesday.
“EYE4U is lightweight, wearable video technology that delivers real-time technical assistance through live imaging,” explained Ken Lawson, director of sales and services. “It includes a hands-free video camera and two-way communication, allowing users to easily work through diagnosing and troubleshooting various situations.”
Because Vanderlande support technicians can see exactly what the user sees, understanding and troubleshooting is much faster and more accurate. The images also help prevent miscommunication and supplement language barriers, he said.
“The device also includes a wireless remote control for quick, easy video and image captures,” Lawson said. For security, all live video and image streaming is encrypted and can only be accessed by authorized personnel.
Attendees can demo the system in the Vanderlande exhibit.
