The average price per gallon of diesel gasoline rose 0.9 cents to $2.470 per gallon this week, according to data issued by the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA). This follows a 0.1 cent gain last week, which was preceded by a 0.3 cent decline, which was the first time prices fell in five weeks. Over the last five weeks, diesel has increased a cumulative 10.7 cents based on EIA data.
