Hyster (Booth 6313) is highlighting its capability to provide lift trucks from walkies to equipment capable of handling more than 100,000 pounds.
Across its line, Hyster has taken steps to reduce the total cost of ownership, according to Mike Hoch, vice president of sales. Features include on-demand hydraulics that are only running when needed, extending component life and reducing fuel consumption. New lithium-ion options for walkies create longer runtimes and more productivity.
Hoch said Hyster is also working to ensure each lift truck’s engine is suited to the target application as opposed to over-engineered, which further reduces fuel costs. A new Tier IV engine has also been designed for efficiency.
“None of these changes have impeded productivity,” said Hoch. “In fact, they all contribute to more pallets moved per dollar, with an average of 15% less fuel consumption across our range.”
