Steel King announces new West Coast quick ship DC

Steel King Industries, an industry leader in providing quality material handling solutions, announces it has opened a new west coast distribution center in Montebello, CA for its popular 48 Hour Quick Ship stocking program.

Steel King currently operates two 48 Hour Quick Ship distribution centers;one in New London, WI and the other in Rome, GA.  These facilities stock almost 200 material handling products, including pallet rack, cantilever rack, Steel Guard industrial safety railing, portable racks and industrial steel containers.  These two facilities mostly cover the central and eastern portions of the United States.  However, it became clear that the west coast, with its freight disadvantage, was not being properly served.  Peter Rice, Vice President of Sales for Steel King commented, “We have many quality partners in the western part of the US.  In the past, we had physical barriers in servicing these partners.”

Steel King rectified this problem with today’s announcement that it has opened a 48 Hour Quick Ship distribution center in Montebello, CA.  Vice President of Sales Rice went on to say “I am extremely excited to have a presence in the west.  The feedback and response we have experienced so far has been overwhelming.”

Not only will Steel King be closer to the west coast market, but the new distribution center will stock Steel King’s industry leading SK2000® boltless pallet rack, specifically designed for seismic concerns on the west coast.  All pallet rack frames stocked will have oversize based plates, and many will have additional cross bracing supports.
