All those keys to valuable assets such as lift trucks or other vehicles, or to doors for battery rooms or valuable tools, or critical spares for automation, can be digitally secured and managed with a new line of intelligent key cabinets from Traka (Booth S3375).

The Traka Touch Pro series incorporates the proven technology of the Traka Touch key cabinet line and takes it to the next level of innovation in electronic key management systems, said Craig Newell, VP of business development, Traka Americas, which is part of ASSA ABLOY. The technology in each cabinet and its key holder fobs provides digital access control over particular keys so that only employees authorized to use them can gain access, while also time stamping when keys were removed and returned, while tracking the activity in software, Newell explained.

“It provides for digital access control and software-based management over an operation’s keys to important assets or areas of a facility,” Newell said during a booth visit.

The cabinets are also built for durability, come in different size options, and are easy to use for employees, who typically swipe a badge to trigger the access control features. The adjustable Traka door hinges are tested to more than 1 million cycles and are recessed for added security.
