CEMA reports 69% increase in orders in one month

Orders for unit handling equipment nearly doubled from August to September.


The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association reported that its September 2019 booked orders increased 84.7% when compared to September 2018 orders.

September 2019 booked orders when compared to August 2019 booked orders up 68.7%. September booked orders were down 8.9% for bulk handling equipment and up 93.9% for unit handling equipment when compared to August.

CEMA’s September 2019 billed sales (shipments) increased by 9.0% when compared to September 2018 sales. September 2019 billed sales when compared to August billed sales were up 1.5%.

September billed sales were down 4.2% for bulk handling equipment and up 3.4% for unit handling equipment when compared to August.
