CEMA reports booked orders for August 2014 up 27.5% from August 2013

Orders jump nearly 50% since previous month, up more than 27% from same month last year.


The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association has reported that its August 2014 booked orders increased 27.5% when compared to August 2013 orders.

August 2014 booked orders when compared to July 2014 booked orders were up 49.5%. August booked orders were down 6.2% for bulk handling equipment and up 100.0% for unit handling equipment when compared to July.

CEMA’s August 2014 billed sales (shipments) increased by 6.8% when compared to August 2013 sales. August 2014 billed sales when compared to July 2014 billed sales were down 5.5%.

August billed sales were down 4.7% for bulk handling equipment and down 6.1% for unit handling equipment when compared to July.
