CEMA reports booked orders for October 2014 up 16.1% from October 2013

October booked orders for unit handling equipment double September's.


The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) reported that its October 2014 booked orders increased 16.1% when compared to October 2013 orders.

October 2014 booked orders when compared to September 2014 booked orders were up 59.5%. October booked orders were up 14.3% for bulk handling equipment and up 101.6% for unit handling equipment when compared to September.

CEMA’s October 2014 billed sales (shipments) increased by 7.4% when compared to October 2013 sales. October 2014 billed sales when compared to September 2014 billed sales were up 2.9%.

October billed sales were down 0.3% for bulk handling equipment and up 4.8% for unit handling equipment when compared to September.
